Extraction Method: Principal Component Analysis. Rotation Method: Varimax with Kaiser Normalization. a Rotation converged in 8 iterations.

These factor loadings should be understood as the correlation coefficients between variables and factors. Since the variableA1 has the strongest correlation with factor 1, namely, the magnitude of the correlation is .815, the variable A2 is also strongly correlated with factor 1 (. 792), the variableA3 also correlates most strongly with the factor 1 (. 781) etc.

If we act as mentioned above, specified at the beginning of the example variations of opinions can be attributed to six factors:

• Factor 1:

Teachers get us interested in studies Teachers are always willing to help us The teachers like the students

Teachers explain the topic sufficiently enough Teachers fairly assess us

Teachers regularly monitor our academic performance I can share my problems with teachers

• Factor 2:

I want to live in Turkey

Cultures of Kyrgyzstan and Turkey are similar All the peoples of the Turkic world are alike

We have many similarities with the Turkish people

• Factor 3:

I want relationships between Kyrgyzstan and Turkey to develop I want to work in Turkey

Kyrgyz and Turkish people are relatives

133

The Role and Perception of Turkey in Kyrgyzstan

• Factor 4:

Turkey is a model for Kyrgyzstan

Soon Turkish will be the third language after Russian in Kyrgyzstan Learning Turkish language is the reason for my entering this university

• Factor 5:

The quality of education in our University is better than in other educational establishments Our university has a good library

Our university has a good technical equipment

• Factor 6:

I want to enter further a university in Turkey

The system of incentives (scholarships and etc) is the reason of my entering the University Free education is the reason of my entering the University.

The first factor obviously has collected all the statements of (dis-) satisfaction with the relationship with teachers. Based on the positive correlation coefficients of the variables involved with the factor and taking into account the polarity of the variables, the importance factor indicates a high satisfaction with the relationship with teachers. The second factor includes those statements, that indicate (dis-) agreement with the idea of the Turkic world; those are points of view of similarity of the Turkic nations and their culture. Of great importance is the factor indicating a high degree of agreement with the fact that the Turkic peoples and cultures are similar.

The third factor includes those statements which point to a positive attitude to the development of Kyrgyz-Turkish relations.

The fourth factor includes those statements which point to a positive attitude to the Turkish language and Turkey; this is a point of view that Turkey is a model for Kyrgyzstan and studying of the Turkish language is the reason for their entering the university.

The fifth factor includes those statements which indicate (dis-) satisfaction with the University capabilities. Of great importance is the factor indicating satisfaction with the University capabilities.

The sixth factor includes those statements which point to a free education and a scholarship as the reason for entering the University.

In accordance with the order of presentation of these six factors, they can be summarized by the following expressions: satisfaction with the relationship with teachers, agreement with respect to the idea of the Turkic world, a positive attitude to developmentoftheKyrgyz-Turkishrelations,positiveattitudetotheTurkishlanguage, satisfaction with the University capabilities and free education and scholarships as the reasons for entering the University.

According to the results of variance analysis, the value of p (Sig.) (.03) is less than .05. This means that the perception of factor 3 (positive attitude to development of the Kyrgyz-Turkish relations) varies by gender of respondents. In other words, there is a difference in the perceptions of women and men of the factor 3.

According to the results of variance analysis, the value of p (Sig.) ( .000, .017, .011,

This means that the perception of Factors 1, 3, 5, 6 (satisfaction with the relationships with teachers, positive attitude towards development of KyrgyzTurkish relationships, satisfaction with the University capabilities and free education and scholarships as the reasons for entering the University), changes according to respondents’ satisfaction. In other words, there is a difference in the perceptions of a Factors 1,3, 5, 6 that respondents are satisfied with their studies in the university or not.
